The content of boron can reach 0.005%, and its non effective boron can be controlled by adding titanium (or) aluminum. The materials used for grade 8.8 and 10.9 anchor bolts should have sufficient hardenability to ensure that the threaded section core obtains about 90% martensitic structure after quenching and before tempering. |
